After nearly 3 years off the racecourse the now 6yo LYCIDAS (Zamindar-La Felicita) had shown some promise on his return. However in his second start of the season - only his fourth overall - he dominated the race under a confident Steve Donohoe and won quite impressive with 4 length. LYCIDAS, who is bred by Graf und Grafin Stauffenberg, had won at 2 years on his second outing, but suffered a fractured tibia in the first race of his 3yo career in the Gr.3 Dr. Busch Memorial, a main trail for the german classics.
Trained now by Charlie Fellowes, it is hoped that the brother to Gr.1 winner LADY MARIAN and Gr.3 winner LUCIDOR stays sound and will show his talent not only at home, but in the public as well.
