FANTASTIC MOON pulls clear to win the Japan Racing Association Derby Trial, Gr.3 at Baden-Baden by an impressive 4,5 length for owner Liberty Racing, trainer Sarah Steinberg and ridden by Rene Piechulek. From 4 starts FANTASTIC MOON has won 3 including the Preis des Winterfavoriten, Gr.3 - Germany's best 2yo race for colts and finished 3rd on his first start in 2023 in the Bavarian Classic, Gr.3. He is now aiming for the German Derby, Gr.1, for which he is clearly one of the leading contenders.

Bred by GRAF UND GRÄFIN STAUFFENBERG the 3yo colt FANTASTIC MOON (Sea the Moon-FRANGIPANI) was raised and prepped at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN to be consigned and sold by STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK at the BBAG Yearling Sales to his current connections. He is the second foal out of the 2yo winner FRANGIPANI, who traces back to FRAULEIN TOBIN, the foundation mare of GRAF UND GRÄFIN STAUFFENBERG. FRANGIPANI has a 2yo filly named FANG MICH by STASPANGLEDBANNER in training for Andreas Sauren with Henk Grewe, a yearling filly named FIRE AND ICE at SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN and is in foal to SEA THE STARS.
