08/07/16 2yo DUBAI HERO impressive winner for Godolphin at Newmarket

The 2yo colt DUBAI HERO (Dark Angel-Bugie d'Amore) becomes the first runner and winner from the 2015 Tattersalls October Sales Consignment of STAUFFENBERG BLOODSTOCK. DUBAI HERO is trained by Saeed bin Suroor for Godolphin and was ridden by James Doyle. The race has produced some very good horses in the past years - one of them was the 2yo Gr.1 winner RIO DE LA PLATA  for Godolphin and trainer Saeed bin Suroor. This and the comments of his trainer augur well for DUBAI HERO, who might now be heading to the Gr.2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood. 

Bred by Haras de Saint Pair, the colt was transferred to SCHLOSSGUT ITLINGEN as a yearling in March 2015 to be raised and then prepped for the Tattersalls October Yearling Sales Book II. This is where he was purchased by John Ferguson on behalf of Godolphin for GNS100.000.
